After inventories being classified that based on various properties such as unit price, the importance of expiry management and degree of control.

Effective inventory control policy and procedure must be developed because it would not be possible to exercise the same type of control for all items and it may not really be effective.

Tight-controlled items
eStockCard Inventory Software capable to generate an unique serialized number during receiving process and this unique number (Identification Code) can be used to trace its detailed movements such as items issuing, usage and shelf life. This can be done by configuring Item Master during the creation of item code. (Inventory Type = Inventory)

Loose-controlled items
No serialize number will be generated during receiving and only quantity of such item will be monitored. This can be done by configuring Item Master during the creation of item code. (Inventory Type = Non Inventory Item, Inventory Type = Services)
