1. What is Chronos e-StockCard?

Chronos e-StockCard is a powerful inventory software which can be
used in different industries and businesses to enhance the
inventory management process. It tracks all inventories in greater details.
2. I'm quite satisfied with my current accounting software, why should
I use Chronos e-StockCard?

Chronos e-StockCard is very much different from any accounting software
in the market. It is a powerful inventory software that helps
you to physically manage each items in real time basis. It
improves your inventory accuracy, reduce inventory holding,
control process abnormality, prevent inaccurate usage, avoid
over shelf life, and track each item in greater details.
3. Does Chronos e-StockCard has any limitation on the number of item
code the database can support?
Basically Chronos e-StockCard can support up to 100,000 item codes or more but it depends on your PC/Server performance and database size
- Free Edition
- Support up to 100 item codes only. For more info, check out the Compare Product
table.
- Full Edition
- Support up to 100,000 item codes or more.
4. Is Chronos e-StockCard comes with barcode labels feature?
- Yes, you can always create and design your own barcode labels when necessary. Basically Chronos e-StockCard provides many default label formats for user to use it.

5. What reports are available in Chronos e-StockCard?
- Currently there are 38 types of reports which are commonly used. These reports are divided into 9 main groups which are:
Inventory, Item Shelf Life, Cycle Count, Lock and Unlock, Customer, Supplier, Alert, Settings and Others.
All reports data are capable to be exported onto multiple formats fro further analysis and presentation such as Excel,
Word, PDF, Text etc.
6. Currently I'm using the Chronos e-StockCard Free Edition, do I have to re-enter my data after I upgraded to Full Version?
- No, you can maintain your existing data if you want to.
After activate the full version, you can continue to perform all tasks as usual.
7. How many editions are available for Chronos e-StockCard?
- Chronos e-StockCard comes with two editions: Free Edition and Full Version.
8. Do I need to activate Chronos e-StockCard Free Edition after I have installed it?

No, you can use the Free Edition without activation.
You only need to request the activation code when you have subscribed to Standard Edition.

Licensing?
1. I only subscribed Chronos e-StockCard for 1 computer x 1 year and already installed at a PC. Am I
allowed to transfer the license to another PC?
-
You can transfer the valid license ONCE only. We call it as "Second Life" for each valid license.
You need to uninstall the Chronos e-StockCard from the first PC,
obtain the "Uninstall Code" and email it to us. Please refer to next Question for details..
2. How do i uninstall the Chronos e-StockCard from existing PC if i want to install it at another PC?
There are some important things that you have to take note for when you want to uninstall Chronos e-StockCard:

At the end of the uninstall process, system will prompt you a message box that contains the "Uninstall Code"
for previous valid Chronos e-StockCard license.

You can either click the E-mail or Copy to Clipboard button. If you clicked the E-mail button,
the Outlook Express window will prompt out with your "Uninstall Code" inside. Click "Send" to
send this e-mail back to Chronos. This procedure is Compulsory if you want to activate the
second PC with Chronos e-StockCard installed.

After you install Chronos e-StockCard at another PC, you can request the Activation Code
from Chronos. We will provide you another "Activation Code" to activate it.
We call this new activation code as "Second Life Code" for the valid software license.
Please remember that you can request the "Second Life Code" for ONCE only

The "Copy to Clipboard" button is for you to Copy the "Uninstall Code" and
paste it on any text document and save it. You can present Chronos the "Uninstall Code"
when you want to activate the next installation.
3. How can I update my Chronos e-StockCard to the latest version if there is update available?

You can logon to our web site: www.estockcard.com to get the latest updates. Software updates is absolutely free for valid license software.
4. I have subscribed to Chronos e-StockCard for 1 Year, what will happen if I didn't renew my subscription
after due date?

One month before the expiry date, system will alert you for the subscription is going to expire.
When subscription expired, the Full Version will be downgraded to Free Edition automatically. Item Master is maintained as what had been created.
you won't be able to add any new item code and it will switch to standalone version (Connect to localhost).

How to Buy?
1. How do I purchase Chronos e-StockCard?

You can purchase it online. We accept payment via Credit Card.
2. After I have purchased Chronos e-StockCard Full Edition via electronic payment gateway, what do I get?
-
There are few situations:
-
After your payment success and come to the last page - "Thank You" page,
there is a link for you to click and download Chronos e-StockCard setup files.
If you didn't download it immediately,
you still can get back the link from the notification email that we send to you.
Besides that, you can print out the invoice for your purchase.

Login to our Client Center and download it under Product > Software Updates.
The login password is the same as the password you use to login to buy.

If you have installed Chronos e-StockCard Free Edition before,
you only have to request the Activation Code from us.
The Activation Code enables you to convert Free Edition to Full Edition

You are required to activate your Chronos e-StockCard Full Edition after install successfully.

Technical Question?
2. I'm using Chronos e-StockCard network version. After I change my computer name,
why I can't connect to eStockCard server again?
-
Users have to bear in mind that computer name is crucial for estockcard program,
It uses computer name & estockcard instance name (ESTOCKCARD)
as information when estockcard program connects to MSSQL server
Example : Warehouse PC (warehouse001) & instance name (ESTOCKCARD) will become
WAREHOUSE001\ESTOCKCARD (Database Server Name)

For first time running estockcard, system will ask u which MSSQL server to connect
and if connection is successfully established, system will auto save this database server name
and connect to the same server again in the next run.

If user changed the computer name, in this case "WAREHOUSE001"
change to "WAREHOUSE_PC1", system will fail to connect to previous
saved database server name due to invalid name in the network.
You will see the message "Could Not Connect to WAREHOUSE001\ESTOCKCARD".
That's mean your target database server is offline,
already changed name or has been removed from remote computer.

We can only advice users that it's better not to change the centralized server computer name.
If you really need to change it, you can replace the computer name with static IP address.
Example: Warehouse PC (10.100.100.100) instead of "WAREHOUSE001\ESTOCKCARD",
we suggest that you use "10.100.100.100\ESTOCKCARD" as Database Server Name.
As long as you didn't change the IP address, it won't affect the program even you
change the computer name.
3. I had downloaded Chronos e-StockCard but failed to install due to Ms. SQL Server Native
Client cannot be found during installation. What should I do?

It could be your PC already bundled with an old version of "Microsoft Native Client Installer"
and during installation of SQL SERVER 2005 Express, it failed to upgrade to
latest version that we bundled inside our e-StockCard Installation.
This is a known problem if using the Microsoft SQL SERVER 2005 installation.

Solution:
-
We suggest that you run the installation one more time, sometimes it can be
installed successfully during the second installation.

If step 1 still cannot solve this issue,
then you have to manually uninstall the program one by one (refer the image below).

After finish step 2, you can reboot the pc and run Chronos e-StockCard installation again.
It should solve the problem
